For dogs: Systemic doses have not been determined and indications for which it might be effective are not established. Doses have been extrapolated from human use.
For cats: Acyclovir is not effective against feline herpes virus infection. Consider alternative agents like famciclovir.
For horses: Oral acyclovir is not well absorbed in horses for systemic treatment.
