Amphotericin B Dosing for Dogs, Cats, Horses By Weight
Important Safety Information
Conventional formulation: Administer as slow IV infusion over 60-120 minutes.
Subcutaneous administration: Dilute in 500 mL of 0.45% saline and 2.5% dextrose solution for dogs under 20 kg, and in 1000 mL for dogs greater than 20 kg. Drug concentration in fluid should not exceed 20 mg/L.
High cost of treatment has prevented common usage in horses.
