Bromide Dosing for Dogs, Cats, Horses By Weight
Important Safety Information
Use sodium bromide for IV administration, not potassium bromide. Adjust doses by monitoring plasma concentrations.
Diet high in chloride may require higher doses. Use with caution and monitor therapeutic levels.

Additional Dosing Information
Oral Loading Dose for Dogs: 600 mg/kg divided over 3-5 days (200 mg/kg once a day for 5 days also has been used), PO.
Alternative Protocol: 60 mg/kg/day administered for 15 days to achieve plasma concentration of 100 mg/dL, and 200 mg/dL by 60 days.
