Prednisone Dosing for Dogs, Cats, Horses By Weight
Important Safety Information
Not recommended for cats because of inability to form active metabolite. Higher doses than used in dogs will be needed if attempted.
No oral doses are listed for horses because of inability of oral treatment to produce active prednisolone concentrations.
Use with caution and monitor for side effects including increased thirst, appetite, and potential immunosuppression.
